Stampendous Butterfly pop up #407

Stampendous Butterfly Trio stampThis project has been created using the Stampendous matching butterfly stamps and dies along with their pop-up die.  This makes it so easy to create these pop-up designs as it cuts the mechanism for you and you just decorate it.

Stampendous Butterfly Trio stampThis simple card starts an an A4 card, with a third trimmed off and then cut with the pop-up die.  Then I’ve stamped the Butterfly Trio stamps, coloured with Koi Pens and then cut out with the dies (no staying within the lines – easy colouring as you are cutting out!).

Chocolate Baroque Flower #406

Chocolate Baroque StampThis project was created for one of my club night make and takes.  The flower is Chocolate Baroque Swirl Centre Flower and I have embossed it in silver and then coloured in blue using my Koi pens.  The flower has then been cut out.  The background is a simple silver embossed with Chocolate Baroque Studded Lattice stamp.  I’ve then cut out a mount of card out of white and coloured the edge with my Koi pens to match and mounted onto a 5×7 card.  The greeting a Kaisercraft stamp from my stash and is also embossed in silver and coloured with Koi pens.

Bird on a Flower #404

Stampendous Bird BlossomI’ve made lots of cards using the Stampendous Bird Blossom matching stamps and dies.  This little bird can be coloured in so many different ways to appear to be a particular bird, or you can make up your colours as I did.

Everything featured on this 8×8 card is on the same stamp set.  The lovely blossom is great to stamp, colour and layer up on your projects.

This has been coloured using the Koi Brush pens.  So easy to blend your colours together.

Lavinia Sunset Bunnies #403

Lavinia StampsLavinia Stamps

Today’s panel has been created using Distress Paints applied with a brayer to create this mottled sunset background.

I’ve used Lavinia Stamps Orb as a Moon together with a selection of other Lavinia Stamps including Fairy Dandelions, Moon Pods, Woodland Hares and Hanging Lanterns.

I’ve coloured the flowers using koi pens and as a final touch I’ve added some white highlights with my White Sharpie

Tonic Baby Boy Card #401

Tonic Cuddly Bear DieI have been playing with the Tonic baby range of dies.  Such lovely designs.  This card is an 8×8″ card blank.  I have embossed a panel in the background in a damask type pattern in white.  Next I have cut the Deco Diamond panel in baby blue card.  The topper features the ever so cute Tonic Cuddly Bear die.  He would be fabulous for cards for little ones too!

Mounted with a simple blue and silver mirri card border gives this pretty card an elegant look.

Happy 55th Wedding Anniversary #400

woodware lace heart stampsPost number 400 deserved a special occasion – so I thought I would show you the card I made for my parents’ recent 55th wedding anniversary.

This card features the gorgeous Woodware Lace Hearts  ADS108 stamp set.  This stamp has such detail to it and it’s the perfect stamp to use with your coloured embossing powders.

woodware lace heart stampI started by using the Wow Pink lady embossing powder with the largest heart from the set and trimmed them out.  I took a piece of pale pink card and cut it to fit my 5×7 card blank and I used a flower from the Woodware Flower Heads JGS381 stamp set and the Wow Pastel Pink embossing powder to add a little detail to the background.

The final stamp I have used on the horizontal bar is from the Woodware Just to Say JGCL560 set – which is full of handy greetings!

This card would be ideal to make into a wedding invitation too – you could vary the colour combinations to match your colour theme.

Hope you like the card – and big congratulations to my mum and dad on an amazing achievement!
