July11I am continuing with my creations with the Woodware Clear Bubble Bloom Clarissa Stamp.  Today’s creation you may have seen a sneaky glimpse of the background earlier this week if you are a friend on Facebook!.

I started with glossy cardstock and swirled on Alcohol inks – Purple Twilight – Orange and Red Pepper.  It then spritzed with Stazon Spray cleaner (that’s what gives the mottled effect).  If you would like to see this technique in action – you may want to watch my YouTube Video

I stamped my flower stamp using black archival ink and added the celebrate in style wording too.

Next I used my Zig glue and Quickie gluepens to colour in the bubbles and the leaves and applied black glitter.  I worked gradually over so all the little gaps were covered.  As a final touch, I traced over the swirls and the stem with quickie glue and glittered those too!

I like this combination – a nice black dramatic image that also allows you to appreciate the beauty of the background too.

Back tomorrow with another design with the same stamp!

happy crafting

  1. Beauiful card! Thank you for the video. I’m grateful that you’ve given people a safe alternative to spraying with alcohol or blending solution which is a dangerous thing to do.
