aug2I have had this Phoenix glittered and awaiting a project for a while now.  Never quite found the right creation for him – and I didn’t just want to do a simple mount and put onto a card.

He is a Sweet Poppy Stencil with a mix of burgundy and blue glitters.  I created him in a workshop a while back and loved the colour combination.

Well inspiration kicked in today and I have teamed him up with the Vive La Plume Woodware stamp.  This beautiful script stamp makes a lovely backing.  I’ve inked it up with Archival Cobalt blue and then dotted and dabbed a bit of Archival plum to mirror the colour combination.

A finishing touch of burgundy organza ribbon and a blue satin bow finished the card just nicely.aug2a

I would like to enter this into the House of Cards Blog Challenge – Bows

There is still a couple of places left in our workshop next Sunday morning featuring Sweet Poppy Stencils held in our shop in Norfolk – call 01953 454976 for info!

happy crafting
