july31Another day, another blog challenge!  Today’s entry is for the Craft Room Challenge.  Their topic is an inspirational green photoboard.  I already had this project in my head – so thought it would be ideal to get it onto paper for this challenge.

I started by die cutting an oval from white cardstock

Next I stamped and embossed in white the large flower from Chocolate Baroque’s Wild Meadow set.  I then carefully and slowly built up the shaded colour using Distress Ink Mowed Lawn and Cut n Dry foam.  I cut a scalloped oval to frame it.

Next I cut a recangle piece of card and inked again with Mowed Lawn.  I embossed it using a polka dot embossing folder and used a sanding block to take the colour off the dots.  I prefer a sanding block to sandpaper – as they are easy to hold flat.

july31aMy greeting was embossed in white again and is from Chocolate Baroque Artistic Affirmations set.

It was all assembled onto a 5×7″ card.

I was really pleased with the finished card – just what was in my head!

I am entering this for the green inspiration challenge at the Craft Room Challenge

happy crafting
