Woodware Zentangle Butterfly

I’ve used this stamp quite a lot  – its Woodware’s Zentangle Butterfly.  I like it because it has lots of detail to it but also it is a good size butterfly to make a nice focal point.  I made this piece quite a while back in one of my workshops and as I’m having a chill-out Sunday I thought I would retrieve this one from my archive!

I have started by stamping and heat embossing my butterfly with black powder.  Next I have cut the heart shape out of card and then using that as a mask.  Apply your Distress Ink – a mix of yellow and orange shades – with Cut N Dry foam through the mask.  Just add your matching mount (inked with the same colours).  Such a simple technique and an excellent way to get a different use for your shaped dies too.

I’m excited to be running a birdcage collage workshop tomorrow evening at the shop.  If you would like to join me I still have a place left to fill – just give me a call tomorrow on 01953 454976 to reserve your space, or go and book online here (you can also see a pic of the project here too!)

happy crafting and hope you are having  a lovely Sunday
