Today’s wedge box is a flower theme.
I have covered each side with a piece of decorative paper. Its a good idea if you are doing a few of these boxes to make yourself a template for cutting your paper triangles. (more…)

I’m still on light duties this week fitting in a bit of time off with my hubby around essential business jobs – so my blog projects are all quick and simple designs for a few days.
I ran a workshop this morning for 19 enthusiastic ladies and taught them how to make wedge shape gift boxes. They got to choose from a range of different decorating styles and throughout the week I will be showing you the samples I made to show each technique. (more…)
Today’s stamp is from IndigoBlu – Winter Wonderland – this lovely forest of trees has beautiful snowflake details. I stamped the design using Flitterglu and then applied Mica Powders – I’ve used Cosmic Shimmer Antique Gold, Green and Blue. (more…)
A lovely elegant Christmas card today. This has been cut out using one of the beautiful Sue Wilson Dies – the French Collection – Provence. I’ve backed it onto a traditional Christmas green shade and stamped and embossed Seasons greetings in the centre. (more…)
Today’s card has been created using the free stamps from the latest issue of Creative Stamping. This lovely fireplace with holly on the top creates a cosy image of Christmas.
I started by stamping and embossing the fireplace, and separately the mouse and the stocking. I stamped and embossed the greeting directly on the card. (more…)
Back with another FlitterGlu and Flakes card again today. Working again with the IndigoBlu Connors Crown Jewels stamp that I’ve worked with the flitterglu and the Winter Dawn metal leaf flakes. This time I worked my Distress Ink (Festive Berries and Peeled Paint) onto my non stick craft mat and spritzed with a little water. I then swiped my flaked design into the ink. Once dry I added a little more colour here and there with cut n dry and the same inks. (more…)
Today’s card is made using the Woodware Sprig of Holly Stamp (now back in stock!). This time I have worked my zentangle patterns using the coloured Sakura Micron Pens. You can work quite simple patterns but they look so effective in the different colours. The patterns I’ve used today are really simple and quick ones to do, so don’t be daunted to have a go at zentangling – you don’t need to do the really complicated patterns to make it look good! Christmas design today. I’ve been playing with the IndigoBlu Connors Crown Jewels stamp along with flitterglu and flakes. I’ve used Winter Dawn. I stamped the baubles onto white cardstock and the dinkie merry christmas onto black card.
Next I have applied Distress Ink – Seedless Preserves and Dusky Concord using cut n dry foam and mounted it onto a black border.
My background card started as plain lilac card and I’ve stamped using purple Archival and Dusky concord distress ink with the IndigoBlu Large Snowflake and small holly stamp. The die cut border is the Tessatina border from Memory box.
This card is one of the samples for the Flitterglu and Flakes Christmas card workshop I will be holding on 9th October – click here to book your place and I’ll show you another sample idea later this week.
I won’t be blogging daily this week – it will be on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday as I’m having a few days on holiday with my lovely hubby!
but… it’s off to the trade show tomorrow first – much excitement to see some of my favourite brands and what new goodies they have to offer!
happy crafting

Back again with the Noah’s Ark stamp from Woodware.
Today I have worked with watercolour paints. I was clearing out a cupboard at home and stumbled across the watercolour palette I had when I was studying art for A Level (many years ago!). It’s been such a long time since I have worked in ordinary watercolour paint and I thought that this stamp was ideal to practice my skills! (more…)
To complement yesterday’s it’s a boy card – here is one for the girls. I’ve used the same stamp and technique again – Woodware Noah’s Ark stamp with watercolour pencils.
I’ve put it together with some soft pink pastel tartan and baby papers to match the soft baby theme. I have again kept with a monochrome colour theme with my pencils. I was quite pleased with the effect. (more…)
