Zip-ah-de-do-dah Zip-ah- de ey… my oh my what a wonderful day! I’m not sure quite at what point we were all singing this at the workshop last night.. I think it started because we were cutting out (blue)birds… and we decided none of us could whistle either! But we did have a giggle or two!
We had a lovely workshop with Marion, Jane, Vera and Sarah who were all fantastic at following instruction and keeping up with my very fast pace of workshop to create lovely textured art panels. There was a lot to pack into the two hour slot – but they all managed fabulously!
The table was full of goodies to play with – Texture paste, Distress Inks, Distress Paints, Memory Box dies, Marianne Designs Dies, Chocolate Baroque and IndigoBlu stamps, Dictionary sheets and lots more besides! We all worked onto a grey-board panel and started by collaging dictionary sheets to it, then we covered it roughly in texture paste. Next was applying our colour – Distress Inks or Paints before choosing our die cuts and stamps to decorate.
As usual, I was amazed with everyone’s creations. Everyone had the same piece to be inspired by and access to the same materials, but all picked different colours and styles for their piece of artwork.

Such a fun evening!
I’ll be back tomorrow and show you what I created at the workshop
happy crafting
