Sep3

As promised yesterday here is the collage panel I created in the workshop on Monday evening.  I picked out colours I don’t usually go for – yellow and pink tones.  I worked with the Distress Paints in Crushed Olive, Picked Raspberry and a bit of Peacock Feathers.

I started with a base of dictionary pages that had texture paste added over the top and then added my paint to my craft mat, spritzed with water and dabbed my card into it to swipe the colour off the mat.  Once dry then I added dramatic black highlights by using a black paint dabber and it’s lid and the edge of an acrylic block to add the circles and lines.

Sep3bThe cogs were die cut (spellbinders die) and tinted with the same shades of paints, as were my butterflies (crafty Individuals die) and the text is from Chocolate Baroque.

As a final touch I added chunky mica glitter to my butterflies to give them a little shimmer and make them stand out more from my background (you can see them better in real life than in the photo!)

Tomorrow you will start to see the sample cards I have made for the Sincerely Yours event this coming Sunday at Thetford and I will be revealing one a day for about the next week!  It’s time to get festive!

happy crafting
