Today’s wedge box is a flower theme.

I have covered each side with a piece of decorative paper.  Its a good idea if you are doing a few of these boxes to make yourself a template for cutting your paper triangles.

The flower has been cut from the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die and the leaves are Memory Box Blooming Vine.  I’ve coloured both with Promarkers and finished with an acrylic gem.Sep30a

I promised a tutorial today on how to make the boxes.  They are ever so simple.  A nice size to work with is to start with a piece of card 4×8″.  Fold it in half.  You then need to mark the half-way point on each short edge and score a line from this point to the centre point.  Do this for all four points and then fold your box.  Punch a hole halfway on each side piece ready for your ribbon – this won’t line up necessarily when you fold the box together, but is close enough for you to feed your ribbon through and then will pull tight when you tie your bow.

I’ve had a lovely day with Pete in Great Yarmouth today.  Gorgeous Blue sky and sunny weather – the perfect day for a stroll along the coast. – hope you have all had a lovely day too!

Don’t forget that THIS SATURDAY – I’ll be doing a free demonstration in the shop all day to give you some Christmas Card ideas.  Just come along between 10 and 3!

happy crafting
