Back again with some more of the wooden shapes I’ve been decorating. This pretty Xmas wreath is ever so easy to do. I’ve coloured the bow and the wreath with red and green ProMarkers. Next I smudged a little stickles over the bow and then added some dots with gold and platinum stickles around the wreath. Once the stickles was completely dry, I covered it with Crystal Lacquer – you could also use Glossy Accents – but that was what happened to be on my work desk at the time!
Make sure you leave it to dry on a flat surface, or your glossy accents will drain off the edge!
The Robin starts out life like this. I drew on the outline of his wing, tail and red breast with a black fineliner and then coloured with Promarker. Again I’ve covered with crystal lacquer. It was only once it was dry that I realised I hadn’t put on an eye!… so I drew it on the top of the lacquer… and it seems to have stayed on! oops!
He might also have been nice with just the red breast shiny
These shapes are all just 60p each and I am in the process of putting them up online at the moment.
PS – date for your diary – Annette from Stix2 and Woodware will be in store demonstrating from 10-4 on Saturday 8th November – well worth a visit if you are free!
