Super quick project today! I had to rustle up something for you whilst in the shop today and we’ve been busy busy busy! So in-between serving customers today I painted a square cut piece of card with an aqua H2O pearlescent paint so it looked quite textured. Once it was completely dry (a few customers later…) I used some low tack tape to stick across the back of the waste of yesterday’s peel-off (Woodware Poinsettia Box). You need to make sure you have a grid of tape to keep the shape design and don’t worry if the teeny tiny bits don’t quite stick – they are easy enough to transfer after. (more…)
Not everyone is a stamper. I know, I know, I am a bit of an obsessive stamper… but I do understand that not everyone is confident with a stamp. However, that doesn’t stop you from creating interesting artsy style pieces! (more…)
More playing with pearlescent paints today. This has been stamped using elements from the Love Birds Woodware Set. I stamped my birds at different heights using gold embossing powder, and extended the legs with a Versamark pen. The flower is from the same set. (more…)
This lovely stamp is from Woodware – Dragonfly. I have stamped and embossed him in a silver powder and then used my Cosmic Shimmer Watercolour paints to add some colour. These paints have a lovely pearlescent sheen to them – so much so that they are then tricky to photograph! (more…)
Pretty in purple shades today. I made this tag as part of the make & take session at club last Friday. The Stix2 White tag has been spritzed with water and then colour from my Distress Markers was swiped onto my non stick mat and the card swished into it to pick up the colour. (more…)
A simpler card today, still using the Woodware Patch Elephant stamp. Simply stamped in Archival and surrounded with the hearts from the same stamp that have been stamped using Distress marker pens. (more…)
First chance I have had to play with this lovely elephant stamp – he’s a Woodware stamp called Patch Elephant. He is ideal for baby cards. I’ve created my background by using Distress pens and scribbling colour onto my craft mat, spritzing with water and then swiping my ready spritzed wet card into the ink. You get lovely watercolour effects. (more…)
This pretty sleigh is a project from the Tattered Lace Christmas magazine. The mag has all the templates to cut out the pieces for your sleigh and a step-by-step guide on constructing it. It uses the Lavish Poinsettia die.
I chose to make my sleigh in the blue & silver colour scheme to match in with a forthcoming window display. (more…)
Back with the other tag I have made for this evening’s craft club make & take project.
I have worked with the Stix2 White tags and Distress Markers to create the background.
The die is from Tattered Lace – it is the free Christmas Rose die from their Christmas magazine (expecting copies of this in store any day now!)
I have used my Distress markers to add the colour, and then applied a few highlights with stickles
Such a pretty die.
Back tomorrow with a big wow Tattered Lace project!
If you would like to join us at club night this evening, just give me a call at the shop on 01953 454976.
This fun little tag has been created as this month’s make and take project at craft club tomorrow night. There will be a choice of two different designs (you will see the other one tomorrow!).
Both have been created using the Stix2 White tags, Distress Markers and a Tattered Lace Die design. (more…)
