On to Project number 4! This is still the batch I created in my challenge on Wednesday – 5 projects in 2 hours! Today’s project features the new Woodware Tulip Peel-off sticker as the main design. Isn’t it a stunning flower! The background is worked onto linen cardstock and spritzed with Cosmic Shimmer Ink Misters – Scarlet Mist and Mango Blaze
Wait until the ink is completely dry and then apply your sticker. It’s quite a large, loose design, so take your time with the peel-off so it doesn’t get tangled and stick on itself.
Once in place, then paint in with Cosmic Shimmer Watercolour Paints. I’ve used a mix of purples and pinks on the main petals, topped with red. The leaves are a mix of three shades of green. I like these paints because you can mix them to be really thick and use just a little water to blend the colours together. Just a simple hand-drawn border to finish. This is now the perfect topper simply to mount onto a matching colour mount and onto a card blank. We also have these peel-offs in silver too – and I saw a beautiful sample made with them by Jane Gill in soft pinks and mauves using the silver peel-off.
I’m having a fabulously crafty day today as I am away in Coventry all day doing five different workshops with top brands – Spellbinders, Woodware, Tattered Lace, Paper Artsy and Creative Expressions – So exciting! I’m sure I’ll come back brimming with ideas and inspiration!
happy crafting
Jane
