Sorry… it’s been a little while. I’ve had lots of pieces all ready to share with you but not the time to blog about them! I’ve been busy behind the scenes doing lots of work in the shop on new lines and displays as well as online to streamline the shop too.
You will be seeing a few pieces with Alcohol Ink background. I just love the colours on this piece. This lovely mix of rich colours just came together perfectly. (more…)
Back with the birdy today. This time I have created a sparkling bird using the Woodware Special Bird stamp. Start by stamping your design onto your card. Cut a piece of A4 double sided sticky sheet from Stix2 to size and stick over the top of the design. Next peel-off the top layer to reveal the sticky sheet and cover it in the Stix2 glitter.
Next take your Promarkers and colour over the top of your glitter – don’t worry, it doesn’t damage your pen nib, just remove any glitter that clings.
This gives the most amazing bright coloured glittery finish – the picture really doesn’t do it justice!
Today’s project has been created ready for the make & take at craft club this Friday. It’s a fun way to play around with your embossing folders and is nice and quick to make. Cut strips of card and emboss with a variety of different folders (if you only have a couple why not alternate the designs).
Then finish with some ribbon and a peel-off greeting and border for a quick and easy card.
The most difficult thing about this card is taking a good photo of it!
have fun playing with your folders and if you are local, please do come and join us at craft club this Friday evening 6.15-8.30pm at the Francis rooms next to Connaught hall in Attleborough. It’s £3.50 to attend, bring something to craft with you and join in for a laugh and a cuppa. If you want to join the make & take it’s just £2.50 to come and play!
Today’s project features the Woodware Special Bird stamp. This is such a lovely bold design to play around with as it allows lots of room for different colouring styles.
This time I have used my Cosmic Shimmer Drawing Inks to colour in the design. I love the way these waterbased ink blend together. They come with a little fine brush and so are ideal for colouring teeny tiny things, but one big sweep of the brush and you can colour a bigger area too. We are a bit low on the colourful packs of these in the shop at the moment – but will be restocking soon!
Don’t forget if you are local, we have our third birthday celebrations on Saturday 28th March and Annette from Stix2 and Woodware will be joining us from 10-4 to do lots of demonstrations. It is free to attend – we hope to see you there!
Back again with this beautiful Persian Flower stamp from Woodware. This time I have embossed the flower in white embossing powder. I have then used my Distress Markers and a waterbrush to watercolour in the design. (more…)
Back again with my little birdy friend. This piece was a happy accident! When I was creating my display board for Thetford I had a small square gap – not big enough for a standard square card, so I wanted to design something to fit in! I had been playing around with the coloured glitter technique, but my first attempt when a bit wrong when I put my hand on the top part of the design and smudged it (more…)
I have had a lovely day today playing with my Paperartsy stamps and paints. It’s my birthday today so I thought it would be nice to have a bit of me time getting creative. I’ve created the background with Paperartsy chalk paints and a roller. (more…)
