Back again with my little birdy friend.  This piece was a happy accident!   When I was creating my display board for Thetford I had a small square gap – not big enough for a standard square card, so I wanted to design something to fit in!  I had been playing around with the coloured glitter technique, but my first attempt when a bit wrong when I put my hand on the top part of the design and smudged it – but looking at it the birdy was fine – so I cut him out.  I cut out a circle and matching scallop circle die and stamped my greeting around the angle.  If you place your ‘waste’ from cutting your circled under your acrylic block, it makes getting the circle angle easier.  The stamp I have used is the Woodware Special Bird stamp.

I hand-drew in his legs with a thick black pen and the scallop and hearts were coloured with a Promarker
