Chocolate Baroque Steampunk ButterflyI haven’t used my Chocolate Baroque steampunk butterfly stamp for ages!  So whilst having my playing session with my Distress Paints I thought I would give it an outing!  The background is the paint applied directly to the card and then spritzing with water to bland.  I’ve stamped the cogs in blue paint.  I then stamped the butterfly in black directly on the background to give a guide where to place a cut out butterfly (and so the detail of the antennae were stamped and there was a shadow underneath the lifted wings).

Chocolate Baroque Steampunk Butterfly StampI painted another piece of card and stamped the butterfly onto it and cut it out. I then used the paints to colour in different details in oranges and blues so it would stand out from the background.

The ‘I just play in the paint’ stamp is from a fab set of stamps from Stampendous called Discover today which has lots of artsy sayings on it.

Happy crafting
