I’ve only just realised that I didn’t put up a post yesterday…. oops – where did the day go! Today’s creation is another of the new kits I’ve made up for the shop. You can buy a kit to decoupage a papier mache animal – I picked out the horse as my trial creation!
He has been decorated with everything you get in the kit – decoupage medium, tissue papers, acrylic gems and a brush.
I thought he turned out rather smart! (more…)
I love this piece. Yes modest I know… but I love this piece!! I’ve been having a browse on blogs, Facebook and Pinterest and one style that keeps calling me is bright colours with black contrasts and that was the inspiration for this piece.
I started with the backing card from a 6×6 paper pad I had squirrelled away in my kit. I firstly stuck dictionary pages over it with Artists medium and allowed to dry. Then I painted it with gesso (a thin coat so I could still see some text) and allowed to dry. Next I took a palette knife and scraped over texture paste over pretty much the whole surface. My aim was to get it sort of smooth – but having some rough areas too – basically take it away from being flat. (more…)
Welcome, if you have found this new blog… it’s currently under construction whilst we add all the design elements we want. Meanwhile, you can visit my old blog here. This new blog will be live in the next couple of days and it will have daily posts of crafting creations and ideas.
This is me! in my Norfolk shop. This is one of the pieces I have recently created!
I hope you will continue to join me on my creative journey!
