today’s project has been created using the fabulous new stencils from Sheena Douglas. This one is called Deer and is just lovely! I started with a Cosmic Shimmer ink mister background and then once dry I worked over the top using Cut n Dry foam and Distress Ink – Black Soot. I worked very gently and slowly to build up the crisp edge detail so that the definition was not lost. A simple line dash border was enough to finish this ATC size panel. (more…)
Hello all, Jane the quiet blogger here!…. Where has this week gone! I had projects all lined up and ready to share with you and then manic week kicked in and I didn’t get a chance to post! I thought it was about time I had a play with some Chocolate Baroque stamps – it’s been a while since I have had a chance. I started with a spritzed background using a Cosmic Shimmer Mister spray (Ocean Sunlight I think!?). i also brayered over a little silver paint very sparingly too for an extra bit of texture and interest. (more…)
And Finally – project number 6 – yep sneaked another one in! This project features the Tea Tree by Crafty Individuals. I started with matt cardstock and spritzed with water and then dipped it into the excess Cosmic Shimmer Ink Misters ink that had collected on my mat from spraying other pieces. That gives this lovely soft blended look. (more…)
Project number 5. The stamps I have used are IndigoBlu Alice I. These fun stamps are ideal for artsy stamping.
I’ve worked onto glossy cardstock with his piece and I just love the way that the mica from the Comic Shimmer Misters has pooled on the surface. I used Mango Blaze and Aqua Lagoon to create the background. (more…)
On to Project number 4! This is still the batch I created in my challenge on Wednesday – 5 projects in 2 hours! Today’s project features the new Woodware Tulip Peel-off sticker as the main design. Isn’t it a stunning flower! The background is worked onto linen cardstock and spritzed with Cosmic Shimmer Ink Misters – Scarlet Mist and Mango Blaze (more…)
Project number 3! This one is working onto linen finish cardstock and has been lightly spritzed with Cosmic Shimmer Mango Blaze and Scarlet Mist. By spraying it lightly, it makes the most of the surface texture.
I’ve used two stamps on this set – both JOFY by PaperArtsy – the Mini 20 Birdies and Mini 34 Mixed Flower – both at a fantastic price of just £4.80 each! I have cut my bird stamp into three – each bird separate and the words on their own so I can use them in more variations (more…)
Number two project today. Once again I started with a Cosmic Shimmer Mister background – this time with Aqua Lagoon and Mango Blaze and using the Tim Holtz Shatter stencil in the background too. This one was much darker in shade and I thought would work well for my dramatic halloween project. I placed the stencil on and inked through with Distress Ink Walnut Stain and faded it out towards the edges. (more…)
Welcome to the first of my challenge creations. If you read yesterday’s post, I challenged myself to creating 5 blog projects in 2 hours! This background was created using the matt white cardstock, which is spritzed first with water and then was swiped on my craft mat picking up the sprayings from the Cosmic Shimmer Misters – Scarlet Mist and Mango Blaze after spraying another piece of cardstock. (more…)
Post number 300 – wow – never thought I would post so many ideas (didn’t know I had so many ideas!). Something different today for you. I set myself a challenge this morning. I have a busy week and weekend coming up so it means I need to get organised and get my blog posts prepared for the next 5 days. However, the flaw in my plan is I only have 2 hours this morning available to do the crafting! Oh well, never let it be said that I don’t like a challenge. (more…)
Today’s little artistic snippet is using the Woodware Burst into Bloom stamp.
The background is another one from my stash – mat cardstock with a couple of intense sprays from Cosmic Shimmer Ink Misters.
A simple stamp and emboss in white powder using the woodware stamp and the greeting also is on the same stamp set. (more…)
