Excuse the dark pictures today – I hope you can still see the detail! I had a couple of commissions to make a silver wedding anniversary card and a wedding card – so I thought that the Tattered Lace Couple die would make a perfect centre piece.
I cut out the die using mirri card and then selected a Tonic layering die that would compliment. The silver Card uses the Baroque Ovals and the gold card the Loopy Lace Ovals . I then cut the inner oval using the two part die – but stuck them down together – that creates that pretty border in the middle.
Finally a few hearts cut from Memory Box Beloved Hearts die and some Peel off greetings added the finishing touches. This makes a lovely 8×8″ card for a special occasion.
I really enjoyed making these two dies – unusual for me to make something with no stamping at all – I definitely need to play more with my dies.
We’ll be at the Suffolk Papercrafting Show in Bury St Edmunds at the end of the month (Sunday 26th June) – Tickets available from Keep on Crafting in Bury St Edmunds.
Pretty in purple shades today. I made this tag as part of the make & take session at club last Friday. The Stix2 White tag has been spritzed with water and then colour from my Distress Markers was swiped onto my non stick mat and the card swished into it to pick up the colour. (more…)
This pretty sleigh is a project from the Tattered Lace Christmas magazine. The mag has all the templates to cut out the pieces for your sleigh and a step-by-step guide on constructing it. It uses the Lavish Poinsettia die.
I chose to make my sleigh in the blue & silver colour scheme to match in with a forthcoming window display. (more…)
Back with the other tag I have made for this evening’s craft club make & take project.
I have worked with the Stix2 White tags and Distress Markers to create the background.
The die is from Tattered Lace – it is the free Christmas Rose die from their Christmas magazine (expecting copies of this in store any day now!)
I have used my Distress markers to add the colour, and then applied a few highlights with stickles
Such a pretty die.
Back tomorrow with a big wow Tattered Lace project!
If you would like to join us at club night this evening, just give me a call at the shop on 01953 454976.
This fun little tag has been created as this month’s make and take project at craft club tomorrow night. There will be a choice of two different designs (you will see the other one tomorrow!).
Both have been created using the Stix2 White tags, Distress Markers and a Tattered Lace Die design. (more…)
What a show-stopping card! This is the project that I made at the Tattered Lace workshop on Sunday. It is from their Christmas Tattered Lace magazine (which is on order!). Click here to see our Tattered Lace Department! (more…)
This is another card idea I created on Saturday. I had some lovely ladies watching who were keen on creating cards with their dies, so we cut out a few dies and had a play to create this design. (more…)
I’ve had a delivery of fabulous Tattered Lace Christmas dies this week – and couldn’t resist some of them!
I’ve created my tag by using Fired Brick and Festive Berries Distress ink to colour the background. I then cut out the mini holly die and used as a mask with Pumice stone to add some holly leaves to the background and then splattered with water to add some interest. (more…)
A lovely vintage feel to today’s project.
I’ve cut the Tattered Lace Car and the Special Day greeting out of a deep burgundy shade of card. My Beige card has been embossed with an Embossalicious Antique Keys folder.
I mounted my car and greeting onto my panel and felt it needed a little something else – so I found some pretty border and corner peel-offs to edge the panel. (more…)
Excuse the slightly blurred pic today – I’ve already put this card up on the gallery wall in the shop and it was a bit tricky to take a picture!
Today’s card uses the fabulous Tattered Lace Dies. For this card design I’ve used two dies – the Red Carpet Dress and the Twin greeting set – Special Days and Happy Birthday dies. (more…)
