A quick little piece of artwork today. I found this daisy stamped onto a Distress Inked background in my craft stash – one of my creations at a demonstration. The colours were so striking I thought I would have a play around with some zentangling detail around the edge. To give it a dramatic look, I stuck to just one pattern. A few white highlights and its all ready to put onto a card or into my art journal. The stamp is from Stampendous – the Jumbo Daisy. Artwork doesn’t have to be complicated – the most simple designs can be most effective!
PS – I will be exhibiting at the Suffolk papercraft show at the Leisure Centre in Bury St Edmunds this Sunday – hope to see some of you there!
Isn’t this little chap cute! As soon as I saw the design I thought I just had to have him in my stamp stash! He is another of the Woodware new Spring release stamps – he’s called Puppy Love. (more…)
Today’s card is made using the Woodware Sprig of Holly Stamp (now back in stock!). This time I have worked my zentangle patterns using the coloured Sakura Micron Pens. You can work quite simple patterns but they look so effective in the different colours. The patterns I’ve used today are really simple and quick ones to do, so don’t be daunted to have a go at zentangling – you don’t need to do the really complicated patterns to make it look good! (more…)
I’ve had this stamp in the shop for a while and kept wanting one in my collection – well I finally caved in and had one for myself. Isn’t he cute! You obviously thought so too as due to this sample card, he sold out on Sunday – but don’t worry – I’ll get him back in stock again! (more…)
You all know by now how much I love my zentangling! Well of course I knew this stamp would be perfect to zentangle designs into. I’ve tried out some new designs this time – some I made up, some I found on my travels online. (more…)
More design ideas with the Woodware Sprig of Holly stamp today. This time I have worked onto vellum/parchment type of paper. I started by heat embossing my design in white. I have then used my white gel pen to zentangle patterns inside. (more…)
This is one of those project ideas I’ve had swimming around in my head for a few days and just had to find the time to sit and create it!
I started by stamping and embossing with white powder onto vellum with the Woodware Curly Butterfly stamp. (more…)
A fun little piece today. I all started with a quick demonstration last club night of the Distress Paints to show how you can blend them and create an interesting background.
I’ve worked (I think!) with Salty Ocean and Wild honey with a touch of green – probably Mowed Lawn (I forgot to make a note!). I then used the cap of the paint into some red (festive berries) to add on some circles. (more…)
I am really into the blog challenges this week – another one today for The Male Room. Their theme is a masculine card on a Geometric theme – and you all know my love for Zentangling.. so I thought I would base my card around this!
I started by die cutting four identical squares from white card and then started playing with some patterns (with thanks to Pinterest for some inspiration!) (more…)
I promised you a set of designs based on one stamp. My chosen stamp is a Woodware Clear stamp called Bubble Bloom Clarissa. This fab stamp has lots of possibilities as it has all the bubbles to decorate. (more…)
