Fathers day cardIsn’t it funny how you get in the habit of using certain tools and products for certain jobs?  I’m a double-sided tape girl… my adhesive of choice – and it has to be Stix2.  Today… I ran out.  Yes – I know – I run a craft shop – that stocks half a dozen different sizes of double sided tape… but that doesn’t mean that I remember to bring any home!  The irony is that second to my double sided tape – I use Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue – for anything that I don’t use tape for.  It’s a fabulous glue – a really strong bond – I use it to stick on all my fiddly bits – die cut letters, gems, charms.  However… adjusting to use it to stick down my backing papers instead of double-sided tape..ooooh no… just doesn’t feel right – I know it will stick..but … oh no – where’s me tape?  Is it just me… or are you the same?

Fathers day cardAnyway – back to our project of the day.  Continuing with the theme of men’s cards this week… I thought I would have a play about with some backing papers and tags (as my friend Sarah was kind enough to lend me her tag die!).  I picked out some masculine coloured papers and cut out my tags.  The alphabet is Memory Box Classic Upper Case die – a really nice size for words on cards.  A little black cotton cord onto the tag gave my final touches.

More men’s cards tomorrow

happy crafting
