I haven’t used my Penny Black Zoophabet stamps for ages! This is the perfect occasion to dust them off and get stamping. This set of stamps has been around for a few years – and they are still available (I can get them in stock to order). Each letter of the alphabet has a character on it – so they are really nice for making personalised cards and fun funky cards too.
I stamped out my DAD word and coloured using Cosmic Shimmer Drawing Inks in nice bright colours.
I kept the backing very simple – by picking out a spot to mirror those on the letter D and as my A had stripes, I went for a different pattern on the background.
Such a simple design – but looks really effective.
It can be interesting sometimes to have a look back through those stamps that have worked their way to the back of the cupboard.. some hidden gems just waiting to be rediscovered!
So that is my challenge to you stampers this week… go forth and rummage and use a stamp you haven’t used for absolutely ages! I bet you now have new techniques or products you now use that you didn’t when you last used that stamp – so why not give it a new twist by combining with some of your new stash?
