I am really liking working onto these hearts. I cut them from greyboard and they are a nice large area to give plenty of options for decoration.
For this heart I have painted with gesso first and then used a mix of yellow and green acrylic paints from Eco-Green to create the background. To add some pattern I have applied some of the colour using a brayer.
I have then stamped using the same paint using the Creative Expressions Chicken Wire stamp.
The large Stampendous Jumbo Daisy has then been stamped using Archival Black ink and I have painted it in using 3 shades of acrylic pink paint. I have added a few white highlights with a pen too.
I’ve added some Daffodil yellow liquid Pearls to the centre of my daisy.
Around the outside of the heart is a line of liquid pearls dots in a pale pink. The Dream Big stamp was stamped with archival black (it’s from another Creative Expressions set – either Art Houses or Art Flowers – I can’t remember which!). As it was a bit mottled in the stamp as I was stamping onto a textured surface, I filled in the solid black with a black fineliner.
It is nice to work on a different type project instead of a card or canvas.
For those of you who read a couple of week’s ago about my dog Molly – well she collapsed unexpectedly a fortnight ago. You will be pleased to know that she came home yesterday. She suffered a spinal stroke and after initially being paralysed in her back legs, she is now back walking – albeit with a sling to support her – but it making huge improvements every day! Such an amazing thing to watch her progress.
hope you have had a lovely Sunday
