June19Firstly, do excuse my photo quality this week.  My camera has gone into hiding since I packed up Bury on Saturday.. I am yet to discover what bizarre place I packed it in!  So I’m having to use my Ipad to take the pics at the moment.

I’ve been continuing on with my Distress Ink playing.  Same technique as yesterday which is to smudge a swatch of Distress Ink Colour onto your non stick mat (this time its Festive Berries and Picked Raspberry and also some Spiced Marmalade)  You then spray it with water and spray your card with water and swipe the card through the ink until it is covered.  Then leave to dry.

June19aNow for this one I thought I would try some ghost stamping.  I sprayed my cleaned mat with water and then dabbed my Indigoblu Tree-mendous stamp into the water to ‘ink it up’ with the water and then stamped onto the card.  Leave it for a few moments until you see the colour start to lift and then blot off with a cloth.  Where you stamp it lifts out the colour and creates a ghost image.  I next roughly traced around the edge of the image with a black fineliner pen.

Next I stamped the wording from the Indigoblu BFF set and then drew a squiggly border around it.  I darkened the inner border slightly

June19bThe final touches were a cross border along the bottom (it needed a bit of a base) and then little starlight twinkles all over as the background was a little stark and needed livening up.

I would love to see what you create from having a play with this technique – go on have a go and share your creations!

happy crafting
