This is another of the new stamps from Woodware that we have got in stock this week. It’s just perfect for zentangling! The stamp is called Curly Butterfly
I also want to have a play with this design using colour as well.
Sarah also suggested that you could cut round some of the parts of the wings to make the stamp work as a leaf stamp too!
I’ve stamped this one in black and then just worked my way around the design with zentangle patterns and yes Annette… I did keep them symetrical 🙂 I felt it gave the butterfly much better balance to mirror the patterns in the same sections on each wing.
I’ve used quite simple patterns on this one as I was short on time – so a wider nibbed pen and the most complicated design was still quite quick to do.
Zentangling doesn’t have to be really complex patterns, simple stripes and blocks and circles can look just as effective.
We have finally found the time to put the Sakura Micron black fineliner pens on the website. Click here for the pens available
