July3As promised yesterday – a firey red piece today.  I’ve used the same supplies again – glossy card, Crafty Individuals stamps, Memento and Archival inks.

I started by applying colour directly with my Memento inks – Love Letter and Morrocco onto my glossy cardstock.  I used a tissue to help the colours blend

Next I stamped a line of ladies in Archival black to give me an interesting edge to my design.

I then decided I would stamp with my mixed words sheet over the central part of the design in love letter memento so it would be very subtle to see.

July3aI stamped my butterfly girl in black archival and finally I carefully inked just the word inspire from the mixed words set and stamped it in the corner.  I then dried the whole piece with my heat gun as there was quite a lot of area covered in black archival and despite the hot day, it wasn’t drying quickly enough!

i then went in to add white highlights to define some of the detail.

Tomorrow’s piece is all natural shades

happy crafting

Did you know I’m doing a demo at the shop on Saturday 10-12 on how to use Stampbord – which are clay pieces just perfect to stamp on!  It’s free to attend – do pop in!
