I haven’t done a sketch challenge for ages! They are always good fun. If you haven’t done one before – you get a sketch of a design layout and you use that design to create your card.
This was the sketch of the design layout we had to use.
I decided to use my Agapanthus stamp from Woodware along with some colour toned Bazzill cardstock in a lilac theme.
I started by stamping and embossing in black my Agapanthus and die-cutting it into a circle shape – I was lucky as it just fitted inside my largest circle die!
I coloured my Agapanthus using Sakura Gel pens – three lilac shades – a purple stardust pen, lilac souffle and a purple glaze pen. The combination of the three gave an interesting mix of shades and textures. For the odd spaces in between I used a sky blue stardust pen. The stem is hunter green glaze.
The greeting is from Woodware’s Salutations set. A few dash and dot highlights with white and black pens added the finishing touches.
I am entering this into the Sunday Sketch & Stamp Blog Challenge
