Hello! I’m back blogging – hurrah! I’ve really missed it. I can’t believe it’s been almost two months since I last blogged.
December ended up just being so busy at the shop and with the website (and preparing for Christmas!) that I just could not squeeze in crafting and blogging time too… and then the new year has been busy busy too! But finally, I have had a chance to fit in some creative time and create some projects that I can share with you.
This has been worked onto a 5×7″ canvas. I started by painting the background with neutral brown acrylic paints and added some darker brown through a script mask to give the background a little variation. A few dots have been added through a mask with Distress ink around the border.
The love was a mask again – but this time I used a fineliner to outline the letters, then I could darken them freehand and paint in the letters with a lovely crimson paint
I drew myself a heart template (fold a piece of paper in half and draw half a heart and cut out so it is even). I then traced around the shape with my black fineliner and painted in the heart.
The keys have been stuck on with Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue and then I outlined the heart and around the canvas edge with the same glue and added gold mica chips.
I was really pleased with the end result and it definitely blew away those creative cobwebs!
This canvas is for sale for £12 (+P&P) if you would like it as a Valentine’s gift.
I’m going to ease myself back into my blogging and try and post every other day – but you never know, if I have a creative session I may post up more! Meanwhile, if you need some inspiration – I ended up posting over 300 ideas in 2014 (feeling proud!) – so don’t forget to browse through the old posts.
Hope you are pleased to see me back!
