What a Wonderland #233

IndigoBlu Alice I

I have had such a lovely day today.  It started with a 1-2-1 workshop with a lovely lady looking to start crafting with inks and stamps and not knowing what products to start with.  We spend a fabulous two hours playing with Alcohol Inks, Memento Inks and Distress Inks to teach her some inking and stamping basics and give her a chance to ‘try before you buy’ and decide what inks were best for her – (I’ll share a few snippets of our creations later this week). Silver Poppies #228

Today’s project is a bit late being published!  I have spent the day so engrossed in my behind the scenes work that I forgot I hadn’t written today’s blog!  You wouldn’t think that stocktaking, accounts and writing descriptions for the website could be so exciting! 🙂 (more…)

Green Honeysuckle #227

Aug10This time last week I was running an all day workshop in the shop.  One of the areas covered was Sweet Poppy Stencils.  I had an idea for a card design using the Honeysuckle stencil in white onto a deep green background and so I took the opportunity to create my design ready.  I used Dreamweaver white paste with a little sprinkle of clear glitter because I wanted a more matt textured effect than the glossy effect of the sweet poppy paste.
